Street Children’s Jambore
This yearly event, held in conjunction with National Children’s Day on July 23rd, is a time for hundreds of street children in the Jakarta metro area to participate in various activities and programs, such as – health check, informative sessions (AIDS, drugs, healthy living, nutritious foods, etc), ropes course activities, talent show, games, small group activities and other creative and educational activities. The uniqueness of this event is that there are volunteer chaperones that accompany the children as they play and learn, always sharing love through the duration of the event.

Educational exhibition
Flowing with the momentum of Nation Education Day in May, this Education Exhibition is held as a forum for displaying the abilities and achievements of the children who are supported. Various competitions connected to education are held, such as: who can answer a question the fastest, science projects, giving a speech, story-telling, singing, music, drawing, poetry, and others.

Sahabat Anak Olympics(OLISA)
Along with supporting mental development, physical development in the form of sports, is one field in which many children, including street children, have a great interest in exploring and developing. Using the momentum from National Sports Day in September, these street children olympics can help build relationships and sportsmanship among the participants.
Free Medical Check and Medicine hand-out
Health checks and free medicine are not only for the children we support regularly, but also for their families (parents, younger siblings, etc)

Ending the Day’s Fast Together

Joining together in order to establish a sense of community and relationship between the teachers, the supported children, their families and the communities around them, while at the same time recognizing the importance of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Christmas on the Street
A christmas and new year’s celebration for the children we work with and their families in the form of daily activities, such as : small group activities, games, health check ups, talent shows, etc.

Ultah Masal
Perayaan ulang tahun bagi anak-anak binaan secara massal dalam periode tertentu (3 bulanan).
Street Children’s Camp
Planting life values – such as: accepting yourself, ethic of hard work, education as capital for building a solid future, healthy living, etc – in an intensif way for a group of the children that are supported.
August 17 celebration
In conjunction with Indonesian Independence Day, this event includes competitions that brings together children from different areas where Sahabat Anak works to give them an opportunity to build relationships and sportsmanship.

Volunteer enrichment and recruitment
The need to support and take care of each other is one of the keys to successfully carrying out of these programs. The volunteer enrichment team has programs and trainings for the teachers in the Bimbels, as well as the volunteers that take part in the other activities. On the other hand, the recruitment team has routine programs that take them to the frontlines in order to build relationships with communities where Sahabat Anak already has work, or other areas where there may be an opportunity for new work to begin.

Children’s Activity Center (PKA, Pusat Kegiatan Anak)
Preparing and carrying out the Children’s Activity Center as a place for additional formal education and life-skills training for children in the area bimbels.
