Divisions
Advocacy DivisionAdvocacy is the most recently established division in Sahabat Anak (SA). The objective of Advocacy Division (AD) is increasing awareness of Child Protection Law in Indonesia. AD is responsible of:· Increasing the volunteers, children and their parents’ understanding of laws (especially concerning child protection law) · Elevating this awareness to a wider audience in the future · Accompanying the children under SA during their brushes with the law Due to limited human resources, currently AD’s focus is on increasing the volunteers’ understanding of the Children Protection Law and Children Rights. Hopefully in the near future, we can conduct various programs to socialize this awareness to the children’s parents. We would be more than glad to welcome friends who are interested in making this realized. SA has chosen the form of foundation as it legal operational body. During Bimbel Forum (forum of SA activists), AD has spread the Foundation Law, explaining about the requirements of a foundation as formal institution. AD also opened discussion about the changes that is currently and will happen within SA. Since 2008, We hope that the legal body format chosen can give more positive outcomes for our young friends. |
